COMPANY HISTORY
1994: The origins and development
The group’s journey began in 1994 in a rapidly evolving market, where the company established itself in the distribution of consumer electronics products from major international brands.
At the same time, OEM projects related to the telecommunications world were studied and developed for important providers, including Tiscali, for which Tiscali Box was created—the first modem with an included service.
These were the years of computer literacy in Italy, and in 1996, the two divisions of Consumer Electronics and Information Technology were created to launch the first two proprietary brands: Nortek, a line of Audio-Video products, and Pc-Up, Personal Computers and accessories.
In 1999, the company became the first in Europe to introduce MP3 format players, and in 2002, DiVX format players, which would mark a new era in audio/video file reading and recording. The Nortek brand soared in sales rankings across specialized retailers and mass distribution in several countries worldwide.
This period marked the company’s entry into advanced technological sectors, strengthening its market presence and consolidating its reputation for quality and innovation.
2004 – 2010: Expansion and diversification
In 2004, the group was ready to evolve with the development of an internal design center. In collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture and Industrial Design at the University of Florence, the first team of designers was created to design and develop the first product collections with distinctive lines.
The Nortek brand was the first to combine technology and Italian design in the creation of audio/video products and IT accessories, with an innovative concept that revolutionized the aesthetic standards of the time. This first step laid the foundation for what would become a story of international success.
In 2008, the acquisition of a company specializing in electromedical products marked the beginning of a broader project involving the study and development of a line of childcare products for children up to 3 years old, as well as products for expectant mothers.
In 2010, two product lines were launched simultaneously: one for light childcare – Nuvita Baby, and the other for electromedical health care products – Nuvita Med.
